There are differences in world cultures based on a society's customs, traditions and value system. Each society has its own do's and don'ts. As a result of globalization, companies send employees to different countries, students visit foreign universities for higher education, and business people visit foreign markets, to promote their product or service.
This course will teach basic intercultural communication skills, and business etiquette in multicultural environment to students. It will introduce them to cultural differences between different countries based on Edward T. Hall's perspective of culture, time, and space. And Hofstede's dimensions of culture. Additionally, students will learn workplace communication skills in multicultural environment and watch some real life example videos. This is a short course which would be useful for anyone who would be communicating in multicultural environment.
